Each week authors from all over and writing in all genres bring you snippets from their work. It could be a work in progress or a completed piece. It could be published or not. But it’s only 8 sentences.

This is from one of my current projects - A Legacy of Lies. Jacob is trying to find his missing sister, Julia, and her best friend, Elissa, is determined to help him.
Last week, we had Jacob and Elissa facing off after he saved her from possible attack and then discovering the bus left without her, and now she needs a ride…from him. ;) This next eight is the next little piece in that particular conversation. Rough draft only, unedited.
The tiny imp took a stance in front of him, hands on her hips, long dark hair flowing around her face, her small breasts perky beneath her cotton t-shirt.
He glanced around the rather empty parking lot. “Maybe there’s another bus coming.”
“Had I not run into you, I had to be back on that bus when it pulled out, or I’d be stuck here until day after tomorrow – or so the bus driver told me when I asked him.”
He watched as she turned in a slow circle, arms spread wide. “And as you can see, there are no motels around here, and no other bus, not even a whole lot of other people.” She came to a full stop, facing him once more, a daring glint in her eyes. “Seems you’re stuck with me, Jacob.”
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
