Each week authors from all over and writing in all genres bring you snippets from their work. It could be a work in progress or a completed piece. It could be published or not. But it’s only 8 sentences.
I’m continuing from one of my current projects - A Legacy of Lies. This is actually book 2 in a series I’m working on. Jacob, the hero, is trying to find his missing sister, Julia, and her best friend, Elissa, the heroine, is determined to help him.
Last week, Jacob was struggling with his issue south of his belt. Elissa is quite happy to be stuck with him. Unfortunately, she doesn’t realize exactly how stuck she is.
This next eight follows the previous eight. We are still in his POV. Very rough draft , unedited.
Thirty minutes later, they were speeding down the highway towards Mexico, a smug look on her face, while inside him a battle waged between his head and his libido over the knowledge of their relationship–a fated relationship she had no clue about. He couldn’t stop the growl that erupted, startling her. He slid a glance in her direction, her pull strong, but somehow good sense managed to commandeer the horny side of his psyche. “Sorry.”
“What’s wrong, Jacob, why are you so angry?”
“I’m not angry-exactly.” He’d received the coordinates for Julia’s location, and prayed to God she’d still be there when he arrived. Thankfully, his brain managed to muscle control over his sex-starved body, or he’d have pulled over on the side of highway ten minutes ago and be buried balls deep inside his sister’s best friend right now, not a care in the world other than the hot, tight fit he knew she’d be.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
