On the First Day of Christmas

Did you know, the Twelve Days of Christmas actually refers to the twelve days following Christmas? I didn’t know that.

We’ll, myself and my good friend Shehanne Moore thought we’d do a little tribute to the twelve days before Christmas, and in honor of our upcoming releases,

Loving Lady Lazuli (Shehanne)

Friends with Benefits (Anne)

And on the 12th day, or December 24th, (weekends have been excluded, folks) we will reveal the covers to our new books, which will be available on January 17, 2014, from Etopia Press.

Now, because we happen to write romance, and erotic romance at that, we thought we’d put a little twist on the song, and create a new set of lyrics. ;)   Our version is, of course,

The Twelve Naughty Days of Christmas.

Each day, Shehanne or myself will post the next line in the song. We’ll also post small tidbits about our books. We will flip back and forth, and at the end, on December 24th, both of us will be having a giveaway in honor of our new release.

Now, on to the first line in Anne and Shehanne’s

The Twelve Naughty Days of Christmas…

One the first day of Christmas, our true love gave to us…

A brand new pretty red thong.

Red thong

Can a summer of sexual exploration lead to an unconventional forever?

Friends with Benefits is a ménage erotic romance story. Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll introduce you to my three main characters, Angela and Tyler O’Neil, and Tyler’s best friend, Connor Jones.  Just between us, Tyler and Connor can’t wait to see Angela in this thong, and the shoes of course.  Maybe she’ll dress it up with a red bow around her neck.

Don’t forget, check the Rafflecopter link for even more chances to win.

Stop in tomorrow where I’ll have the link to Shehanne’s blog where she’ll post the next lyric in our Christmas carol and you’ll learn all about Shehanne’s giveaway.

Don’t you just love the holidays!

  13. Okay, I did this backwards and stopped at Shehanne’s. But as a first grade teacher and can count forward and back. Where are the stockings? I found the shoes to match! This will be a fun couple of weeks.

  14. I’m not sure it classifies as a Christmas carol but once the holidays are near I start listening to “All I want for Christmas is you” and I cannot stop. It’s my ringtone right now :p

My favorite is The Little Drummer Boy if I have to choose one with lyrics.

  18. Tina Reiter says:

My favorite Christmas Carol is Silent Night. It always brings tears to my eyes.

  19. Noelle Clark says:

The Dynamic Duo – or Double Trouble. Not sure which. But best wishes to my good friends Anne and Shehanne on your forthcoming releases. May they soar! Fave Christmas carol. Well, it should be The First Noelle, but as my ex’s name was Noel, I don’t think so. It’s O Holy Night. I have several versions, but John Denver’s takes some beating. Thanks for a lovely post Anne/Shey.

    • Lol, how the votes are stacking up for Oh Holy Night! But Silent Night is bonnie too. P. S Anne, your cover’s lvoeloy. I know I’ve not seen it yet . But hell, I want in the draw !!!

      • Anne Lange says:

Thanks for the vote, Shey. I think yours is beautiful too. But hey, you didn’t follow the rules, you’re supposed to leave your name and email for the draw :) LOL! Sheesh. :)

    • Anne Lange says:

I love, love, love O Holy Night. I’ve got a fantastic version I’m sharing on Thursday!

  20. katyaarmock says:

I’ve always thought O Holy Night was beautiful. I also enjoy Eric Cartman’s version of the song. :)

  21. My favourite Christmas carol? Easy. It has to be ‘Silent Night’, sung by an Austrian choir in the original German. Preferably performed outside on a crisp, December evening as the first snow falls gently from a velvet blue-black sky…
