#8Sunday #SnippetSunday: June 15, 2014

Each week authors from all over and writing in all genres bring you snippets from their work.  It could be a work in progress or a completed piece.  It could be published or not. But it’s only 8 sentences.

We are continuing with A Legacy of Lies, my paranormal romantic suspense – a wip.  Jacob (the hero), is trying to find his missing sister Julia, and her best friend Elissa (the heroine) is determined to help him. My last snippet for this WIP can be read here.

Last week, Tagg was teasing Jacob about his relationship with Elissa, calling Jacob on the fact that Elissa is his mate. Jacob chooses to ignore it. We’re still in Jacob’s POV. This picks up right after the previous snippet.

Tagg laughed, outright bellowed. “Don’t worry, friend, I have no interest in your woman.”

“She’s not my woman.”

“She most certainly is—she just doesn’t know it yet—and you’re not ready to admit it. Any other male only needs to take one whiff to know she’s taken, but once you claim her, she’ll be off limits completely.”

“And until then?” Jacob knew the answer in his gut, but needed it confirmed.

“Until then, others could try.”

You can read all of my past snippets here:  ALL my snippets.

Please jump back to the main site for  Weekend Writing Warriors and visit  Snippet Sunday on Facebook to see the many other authors bringing you a glance into their worlds for this week.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

It’s going to be interesting to see if he acts on his friend’s advice. (And I love how Tagg is giving advice without giving advice…)

She just doesn’t know it yet… Hmmmm. Interesting.

Oh interesting. Jacob better quit fighting himself about this development then. Enojying the story very much, another terrific snippet!

  8. Sarah Cass

Oooh, he knew it, but didn’t want to admit it. Hope he figures out how to seal that claim.

  9. Sarah W

Looks like he won’t be able to deny it any more!

Wonder what she’ll have to say? :)

I felt that figurative punch to his gut. Nicely done, Anne. Tagg’s a good friend. Great snippet.
