RTC2016 And the Fun We Had!

Monday, May 16th, 2016

It was a fun-filled few days at RTC2016, hosted by the fabulous Eve Langlais.

We lucked out on the weather (again) and had a sell-out crowd (again). And of course lots of laughs and fun (again.)

Here’s a few highlights:

I sat on my first convention panel with some wonderfully talented authors. Frankly, being among them was a major fan-girl moment for me. We chatted about Erotica to Make You Sweat to a wonderfully packed room. It was a blast!  Actually, it was HOT!

I also played bondage games with the good “doctor’ and led by Pub-Craft Romance Specialist Romance Specialist.  Hmm…  I wonder if I could have asked my PA to take my place in the games:? 😉  The team was working on tying the doctor up while I was talking notes for my next book… 😉

Next up was the Author Speed Dating. Holy freakin’ cow!  Trying to talk to each other from across the table in a room with about 60 other people doing the same.  Two minutes on the clock before you had a new person to talk to. Met lots of potential new readers. Got to see friends and almost lost the ability to speak by the end! LOVED IT!

And then of course, the author signing.  Luck was on my side.  I found myself sitting next to (fan girl moment) Stacey Kennedy.  She is such a super nice person. We chatted in between meeting with fans and discovered we had lots in common.  I want to offer a very sincere thankyou to everyone who stopped by my end of the table to chat and buy one or more of my books. Your support and loyalty is what gives me the courage to continue.

The whole experience of this event is difficult to explain if you haven’t experienced it.  It’s a few short days of loads of activities that take months of planning. Lots of one-on-one opportunities to talk with readers and other authors. Plenty of smiles and laughter and a really, really good time.  But I want to thank Eve Langlais for the time, effort, and dedication she puts into this event. Everybody always has a wonderful time.  Friendships are re-established and new ones made. Spending time with people we often only chat with on line is truly unbelievable and I, for one, value every moment of it.

And I can’t wait until next year!

See you next August for RTC2017!

Apt 613 talks Romancing the Capital

Monday, April 18th, 2016

RTC2016

Registration is sold out and there’s only 3 weeks to go until I’ll be at Eve Langlais’s  Romancing the Capital in Ottawa Ontario Canada!

Since I live close by, thankfully it’s only a short drive.  Last year was the inaugural event and holy cow was it a success. For everyone, all the authors and readers who attended and for me. It was my very first book signing event and the very first time a reader fan-girled … over me!  And I LOVED every minute of it.

This year I’m participating in a panel, the highly popular speed-dating event, and of course the book signing.

The anticipation for the big weekend to get here is building, and local author Jennifer Carole Lewis, a reviewer for Apt 613,  has a posted a few blogs highlighting the upcoming event.  This week’s edition of Apt. 613.ca offers a little insight to Eve, myself and a few other attending authors.

#Hello2016 #Bloghop Hello, My Name Is…

Thursday, January 7th, 2016
my name is

Anne Lange!

We’re ringing in the New Year with lots of giveaways!

And by sharing some fun and wacky facts about ourselves. There’s a new giveaway at each stop so be sure to visit them all!

So, let’s see, things about me and/or my blog…well:

  1. I’m a Canadian. I was born in Montreal, Quebec, grew up in Southern Ontario and now live in Easter Ontario. Yes, I can speak French, but I don’t consider myself bilingual. In fact, I’ve been taking French lessons over the last few years because I didn’t use it for over 20 years … and you know what they say … if you don’t use it, you lose it! I need practice.
  2. I have 9 tattoos. I love them. I want more. Just haven’t had the time to get them done.
  3. I HATE…as in H.A.T.E. spiders. Give me a snake any day. Point the tiniest of spiders in my direction and I will run like the demons from hell are after me.
  4. I am VERY shy. Like majorly shy. But in that quirky way life has of tossing things in your direction you want nothing to do with, over the years in my day job, I have given so many presentations to a variety of audiences for various reasons that I lost count long ago. And I still hate doing them.
  5. I love to cook and bake. I hate following recipes. People will tell you that when you’re baking you must follow the recipe precisely… I say pshaw … I can do whatever I want, and it usually turns out very edible. 🙂 Just don’t ask me to repeat it, but I didn’t write it down the first time.
  6. I have a horrible short term memory. My long term memory is fantastic. I can tell you what I did last week. I can’t tell you what I just wrote on the previous line 😉
  7. I’ve had a lap dance by both a male stripper and a female stripper. Both were HOT.  But I need to know…just what the hell are you supposed to do with your hands!
  8. I write contemporary and erotic romance, but my absolute favorite to read is actually romantic suspense. One of my all time favorite authors is Suzanne Brockmann.   My mom reads my erotic romance though…that’s a little awkward.  Hard to know what to say when you’re in the middle of a naughty ménage scene and your mom asks about how’s it going.
  9. I have NEVER read or watched the Harry Potter series. I know. I know. But, I’m really just not interested. But I LOVED the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
  10. I had a dog, King, when I was a teenager. He was  a beautiful big Golden Retriever, and he was an awesome judge of character. If he didn’t like my boyfriends, he typically wedged himself between us.  That was the sign the guy had to go. 😉

I just realized none of these have to do with my blog, but then my blog has been dedicated mostly to promoting other authors work rather than my own.  And, I have a brand new website coming soon.  If you’d like to join my Fan Group or Street Team, I’m always ready to welcome new members.

Giveaway:

I’ve got a $5 Amazon Gift Card and $5 Starbucks Gift Card for two lucky commenters. Names will be randomly selected at the end of the hop.  You must leave a comment, introduce yourself to me and tell me one interesting fact about you. Don’t forget to leave your email.

Don’t Forget to Check out the Other Participants in the Hop:

(Note, I had to remove the list itself to get my comment box to show up. But clicking on the image below will take you to the list of participating bloggers and authors.  Sorry for any inconvenience. )

Books, of course!

What Books Do You Want To Get For Christmas?

I have plenty of favorite authors to choose from and it’s always difficult to decide, but I’ve already set aside a book I plan to read over the holidays, Shayla Black’s Wicked For you. I LOVE the Wicked Lover’s Series

10-wicked_for_you-highres-200x300Ever since he rescued her from a dangerous kidnapper, Mystery Mullins has wanted Axel Dillon. When he returned her to her Hollywood father and tabloid life, she was grateful…and a little in love. Mystery wasn’t ready to let Axel go, even after the soldier gently turned her away because, at nineteen, she was too young.

Now, six years later, Mystery is grown, with a flourishing career and a full life—but she’s still stuck on Axel. Disguised, she propositions him in a bar, and the night they spend together is beyond her wildest dreams. Mystery steels herself to walk away—except the sheets are barely cold when her past comes back to haunt her.

Once he realizes Mystery isn’t the stranger he thought, Axel is incensed and intrigued. But when it’s clear she’s in danger, he doesn’t hesitate to become her protector—and her lover—again. And as the two uncover a secret someone is willing to kill for, Axel is determined to claim Mystery’s heart before a murderer silences her for good

My Giveaway

I have a $5 Amazon Gift Card to give away. Leave me a comment (don’t forget to leave me your name/email too)
