The FINAL-Six Sentence Sunday-Jan 27, 2013

We’ve hit the end of Six Sentence Sunday folks.  I only just began in late December, and already the last call for this ride has been made.  Please check out my new release – Worth the Risk …where…Even the hottest sex might not be enough to ease the pain of the past…  for more click on my Books tab

And now, this final week’s  installment to Six Sentence Sunday.  I struggled with what six to give.  Suspense or romance?  Leave you with a question, or leave you (hopefully) wanting more?  I opted for hot and sexy, and not PG.  So, from A Legacy of Secrets, my current project, unedited.

He smoothed his hands up and down her thighs, as his eyes drifted closed and her arousal reached out to tease his heightened senses. “You’re going to be my lunch today, Lily. I’m going to eat you until I’ve had my fill. I want to taste your cream on my tongue. I want to lap it up as it spills from inside you.”

“Then stop talking about it and just do it.”

Six Sentence Sunday – Jan 20, 2013

We’re nearing the official end of SSS.  Oh No!  Please check out my new release – Worth the Risk …where…Even the hottest sex might not be enough to ease the pain of the past…  for more click on my Books tab

And now, this week’s Six Sentence Sunday edition of A Legacy of Secrets, my current project, unedited. This story is a romantic suspense that contains paranormal elements. And, yes, it’s HOT!

“More?” she squeaked.  “I’ve never done that twice in one night, never mind twice in a row.”

“Then let me be the one to give you that pleasure.”

Pulling a condom from the pocket of his pants, he sheathed himself and crawled onto the bed, straddling her.  Placing his hands on either side of her head, he looked down.  She looked up, her cheekbones flushed, her eyes dark and shiny, with just the tiniest hint of fear.

Six Sentence Sunday – Jan 13, 2013

By now, most of us are back to work, whatever that day-job happens to be.  Unfortunately, for me, it’s not doing what I would prefer to be doing – writing.

But, regardless of that, I’m here to give you six sentences.  I’ve decided to continue with lines from my currently unedited version of A Legacy of Secrets.  Afterall, you can simply click on my Book tab or the My Projects tab to see longer excerpts from Worth the Risk, my current release.

The next lines for this week’s edition of  Six Sentence Sunday is:

There were so few in the area, he recognized all their calls, but not that one.  He’d have to check it out … later.  Quite happy to return to kissing her, he swiped his tongue along her bottom lip, nipped the centre, and then placed a kiss on the same sweet spot. “If you don’t want this to happen, say so now. Once we get on that bed, I won’t want to stop.”

“I don’t plan to stop you,” she whispered.

Six Sentence Sunday – Jan 6, 2013

Happy New Years!

2012 is gone and 2013 is the here and now.  I hope everyone had a great holiday. I struggled with the decision of what to provide for this edition of  Six Sentence Sunday. Should I continue with lines from a work in progress?  Or start the year with something new? Perhaps something from my debut? But if you’re checking out my site, then you’ll see my book anyway, so I decided to continue with lines from A Legacy of Secrets, a Romantic Suspense (unedited).

“I would expect you to have a staff serving brie and canapés—not salsa and chips.”

He snorted. “I can be that guy when it’s required, but I try my damnedest to avoid it. My brother is that guy, and he’d cringe first then fire the staff for serving his date this snack stuff.”

“Is that what this is, a date? I thought I was here to discuss my father’s death.”

Six Sentence Sunday – Dec 30, 2012

Christmas is over. Does anybody else find it sad that it’s just…over?  That’s it, that’s all, time to pack it all away until next year?

Well, to get you through the last couple of days of 2012, here’s my December 30 edition of  Six Sentence Sunday, which continues with lines from a current work in progress.  This is from A Legacy of Secrets, a Romantic Suspense (unedited).  This is the last submission for this year folks.  I hope you enjoy it.

His nostrils flared and he sucked in a deep breath.  His pupils darkened.  Her gaze dropped like a stone to his crotch. She gulped.  When he chuckled, low and deep in his throat, she darted a look back to his face, really pissed at the tiny smirk on his lips.

“You’re as aroused as I am,” he said.

Six Sentence Sunday – Dec 23, 2012

Christmas is just about here!

Unfortunately, I don’t think my link for the last week’s Six Sentence Sunday.  I apologize for that. Please check out my post from Dec 16 if you missed it.

The Dec 23 edition of  Six Sentence Sunday, continues with lines from a current work in progress.  This is from A Legacy of Secrets, a Romantic Suspense (unedited).

“Have you tried?”

Now there was the kicker. Perhaps she would have been able to save her parents if she could.

“Don’t worry, it doesn’t happen for everybody on the first time. And for some reason, the females tend to develop slower than the males.”

Probably why they feel more superior.

Six Sentence Sunday – Dec 16, 2012

We’re half-way through December!  It’s time for the next installment to Six Sentence Sunday, which continues with lines from a current work in progress.  This is from A Legacy of Secrets, a Romantic Suspense.

Through the front window he’d watched her and a younger woman—a sister maybe— eat their evening meal. When the young blond finished and got up to leave he continued to watch while the red-head stared off into space for a while, then got up and cleared the table.  He gave her time to finish the task before he decided he’d waited long enough.

He got of his car and walked up towards her front door, pausing when he spotted her coming out of the kitchen area with  glass of wine in her hands.  Snatching a lap quilt from the back of a chair she turned and moved towards a set of patio doors.  Perfect, he could do this without disturbing the younger one.

Six Sentence Sunday – Dec 9, 2012

My next installment to Six Sentence Sunday continues with lines from the first draft of  a current work in progress. With any luck, you’ll see it in its entirety sometime in the near future.  This is from A Legacy of Secrets, a Romantic Suspense.

Just as he reached out to grasp the door, it flew open and a lithe red-head landed in his outstretched arms.  He stumbled backwards, instinctively wrapping his arms around her.

“Hey there, sweetheart.  Where you going in such a hurry?  You okay?”

“Um… yes, and I’m not your sweetheart.”

Six Sentence Sunday – December 2

Below is my second contribution to Six Sentence Sunday.  These lines, as before, are from the story I have been working on as part of NaNoWriMo.  It is most definitely a work in progress, scheduled for overhaul in January. With any luck, you’ll see it in its entirety sometime in the near future.

This is from A Legacy of Secrets, a Romantic Suspense.

“Oh, Lily, have you heard?”

“Heard what?”

“Mr. Turner is dead.”

“Mr. Turner? But I saw…”

“Apparently he killed his wife, then hung himself last night.”

Six Sentence Sunday – Nov 25, 2012

This is my very first Six Sentence Sunday. Unfortunately, in January 2013, I’ll no longer have the opportunity to participate, as Six Sentence Sunday’s will be a thing of the past.  However, until that time, I plan to take advantage with the many other aspiring and published authors to provide you with six sentences each Sunday for your enjoyment.

So.. here six sentences from my one of my works in progress.  This is from the story I’ve been working on as part of NaNo.  It’s a Romantic Suspense called  A Legacy of Secrets.

“Yes, sir. Good night, sir.”

Bryce took another mouthful of whisky, holding up the glass to inspect one of his family’s legacies once again. Everything he’d planned for, worked for, put up with for years, it was time. Nothing would stop him now. His father was gone, his brother wasn’t interested, and once he got rid of his current—problem—all would be right in his world. The clearing of a throat interrupted his thoughts; bringing his gaze to the door once again.

Thanks for stopping by. Check back next Sunday for more.
