Can an exchange of power lead to a happily ever after?

Blurb

Burned in the past by men who should have loved her, Lynette Winters is starting to give up on her happily ever after. She made a standing date with herself long ago. If by her thirty-fifth birthday she hasn't found the right man—one who will treat her as an equal and not the hired help—then she'll find a bar somewhere, toast the farewell of her girlish dreams, and fully embrace her life of solitude. After all, she has a great career, friends she enjoys, and the BDSM lifestyle, which keeps her firmly in control of the subs at the Vault. With her whip in one hand and her self-control in the other, she gets all the fulfillment a Domme needs. Even if she can't reach orgasm herself.

Deacon Trisk and Blake Armstrong both noticed Lynette the first day she walked into the Vault. Working security for the club, they watch as she keeps others at arm's reach—including her subs—and they suspect this beautiful, little blonde Domme comes with a complicated past. Although Deacon and Blake aren't submissives, both men are ready to fall to their knees for a little attention from Mistress Lynette. And better yet, maybe they can convince her to let them take the lead.

But when her past comes back to haunt her, Lynette refuses to give up her newfound control. Blake and Deacon will do anything to keep her safe. But when pleasure turns to danger, perhaps it's just too late for an exchange of power—even one that could give them more than they had ever dreamed...

Reader note: contains M/F/M menage, BDSM, and erotic romance elements

"★✩★✩★ 5 – Wicked, Emotional, Sensual & So much more – Stars ★✩★✩★

This book had so much going for it I hardly know where to begin. It had the flush of instant attraction when meeting someone that sets your blood on fire, and discovering flames from long ago still burned red hott and didn't fade over time in the slightest. It had the desire to explore your deepest fantasies and cravings with the man who has always held your heart, along with some help for a super sexy addition. It had the sting of heartbreak that accompanies losing your first love and seeing him again years later along with the fierce longing to make it right. It has a man haunted by the mistakes of his past, and a second chance to do it right – if only he allows himself to go down that path again. There will be tears of frustration for Melissa when Jamie continues to try to push her away, and hope that they can finally find some peace and happiness after all this time. Daniel balanced them all out perfectly – he was a guiding hand, caring and patient but he also knew when to push just the right amount to get Jamie over his fears. The sexy times were off-the-charts hott, though there could have been a little more of it – then again, that could just be me. I'm a dirty slut that way. The pace and the story held me captive right from the beginning and the secondary characters were amazing. The POV jumps around between Jamie, Daniel & Melissa throughout which I LOVED because it gave me a chance to connect with each of the main characters, allowed me to truly understand their hopes and fears, enabled me to feel the depths of their emotions. I really have zero complaints – except that it ended. I don't know how Anne Lange has managed to fly under my radar so far, but I am very much looking forward to what else she has in store for us."

"I love to read Ménage Romance and this book has it all! Chemistry, passion, love , and forgiveness. Thus author is truly a magnificent writer. So much so that everything is relatable and has great descriptions.

"A great read! I couldn't get enough! The story line sucks you in and shows you the crazy twists, turns, the sexy fun, the bad, the good and the really really really good!
A ménage story that gives you love, emotions and things that need forgiving! Jamie is hot, sexy Dom that came from not having much money! But was in love with a beautiful girl who did come from money! One night and her father changes both their lives!
Melissa was in love with Jamie but her father changed her life and hurt her! But years later they are not only given a second chance but a bit of a push as well!
Best friends are forever and then some!"

"Anne Lange is an author on my follow list and for a good reason. Her books are filled with sensual imagery and it never fails I want to live in the worlds she has created. Her Vault series is just such a place. A club with sexy Doms and succulent submissives who enjoy the feel of a paddle on their skin. In this book we have a past romance that ended badly. Melissa wants to make it up to Jaime but there are some issues with communication. The sex scenes were smoking hot and push a little toward boundaries.  A great read."

"This is my first Anne Lange book and I enjoyed it. I like books in this genre so it was a fun read for me. I enjoyed the friendship focus with the BDSM and ménage sprinkled in. The BDSM scenes were very descriptive with a visual of what was going on in the club. Nothing was distasteful, it was all written very well. The sex scenes were amazing, they just kept getting better and better. The storyline outside of the sex had me worried and upset, concerned and sad, happy and pleased all throughout the story. This was one of those books I didn't want to put down, I kept turning page after page because I didn't want to stop reading. Nor did I want the story to end but speaking of ending...what an ending it was. It might have been the best scene. (Don't skip ahead just to read it, you will be spoiled.) My only negative thought was too much inner dialogue between character discussions. Too much background knowledge was given that I found myself skimming to get back to the conversation. Most of the stuff was pertinent to the story, so it couldn't be taken out but it just seemed like there was a lot of time between lines of conversation. But I still enjoyed the book!"
